Quick Question.

Have you ever wanted to tell somebody something but didn't because you didn't want to boost their ego any farther?

I'm battling with a situation like that now.

I wanna tell somebody something about what happens...I'm not gonna go into detail about it because I'd kind of be telling them but yeah. I'm not trying to sice him or anything but I think he'd want to know this. It's kind of important information. Oh well.


Anyway, I've been on my random blog search for the last 20 minutes. I've been going through the followers of The Lupe Fiasco Show. There's some pretty decent blogs following them. Cool people. It seems.

I think I might link the ones I like here. I'm still deciding on that too.

How Professional.

I rented a car from Enterprise down the street from me to go to the Lupe show in College Park this Friday. It was a Dodge Caliber (which are really nice by the way)..

A guy named Patrick took the return for me after I had to wait a while but he makes small talk with me and ask me what it's like working at the resort. My first reaction was how the hell but then I remembered I had to give them a pay stub...

So, after I turn it in I get all the way home and then 20 minutes after I'm in the house I get a random text from a New York number that says "NICE BOOTS!"

I'm assuming it's somebody I met at the show or hotel or something so I go, "umm thanks..who is this?"

Guess who the fuck it was....

Yes. It was fucking Patrick from the Enterprise. He took my number off of my paperwork and texted me. Who the fuck does that?

Can't you get fired for that type of stuff? How professional is that?

That took heart though because I could have easily carried the shit out of him..I've been real hostile lately, I should have. LOL.

I just said, 'oh wow okay' and he ask me should he keep my number.

Seriously though?

If I didn't give you my number then I didn't want you to have it. You can't steal a girls number. That's cheating. Then you use a weak starter line like nice boots. Really?

Sorry sir, but you lose.



I would still recommend Enterprise to any and everybody. They're really nice up there. Sometimes too nice but whatever..

Another Eventful Lupe Show

So, if I was to describe my weekend so far in a nutshell it would go like this.

Went to College Park. Chilled in the hotel with everybody. Matty and Bam are hilarious. Got some Potbelly's with Mars, Keena, & Megan. Back to the hotel. Went to the Lupe show at UMD College Park. Got backstage at a sold out show. Backstage sucks though I would much rather have gotten a ticket and been in the front. Lu was great. I can go to a bunch of shows because something different always happens. An example would be Lu trying to take off his shirt and getting stuck in it. Another example would be tossing his shoes in the crowd. Chilled with 1/3 of Hey Champ. Met some groupies. I'm so not down with the whole looking like I'm with the groupies shit so I had to vacate.

Speaking of groupies.... I want to take this time out to acknowledge the group of girls and one guy that followed us back from the show with their headlights off like they were on some stakeout mission or private eye shit or something. THEN they were bold enough to come up in the hotel and be like, "So we wanna know where Lupe is" Really? Did you really think we were gonna be like, "Oh sure, he's right down the hall. His door should be open why don't you just walk on in?" That was some bold shit though.

After that...we went back and forth trying to figure out if we were going to stay in the hotel, go to IHOP or go to the bar. Everybody split up and all three were done. I haven't had much sleep so the rest is kind of a blur.

Lastly, Matty...I want my damn Hey Champ shirt..AND my Kenna cd, lol. Make that happen. Thanks.

It'll also be my first time in Chicago. Pray for me.

Not because I'm going to Chicago but because I may not have somewhere to stay when I get back, lol.

Best Weekend Ever?

I have a Top 5 Weekends of My Life list. Okay not really but I can remember 5 that really stand out. This last weekend just bumped the last one out. I'm not sure if it's number one but it is damn sure up there.

Okay, so two of these weekends involve Lupe of course and 2 more of them involve somebody else...but anyway...

I went to see Lupe this Saturday. Although the set was shorter than I would have liked it to be it was ridiculously great.

Seriously. lol.

I don't think I've ever seen anybody perform so..hard. I've never seen him so energetic. I kind of almost expected him to pass out from exhaustion. He was that gone. That show was the epitome of someone going into another zone when they performed.

KayCee, who is cool as shit by the way, posted a review of the concert and even though other ones are more detailed I think hers gives you the jist of what happened.

Some dude pissed on the floor and ....man this is gonna sound like a bad joke but I'll say it anyway...he ended up pissing everybody off around him and they got him kicked out. Hey, I warned you.

What else...Lu's opening act had a mascot who was almost as, if not more, entertaining than they were at some points. If anybody remembers what their name was and the name of that last song they did it'd be greatly
appreciated.

What else...oh..sound in the front wasn't all that great but at least I got to see everything without having to stand on my toes.

There was some groupie-like girls behind me and I think they had a part in trying to get the crowd to yell "Loopy". Of course that shit didn't fly. Even with half the people there not knowing who Lu was.

Even though I don't drink there are blocks of time that have been lost from that night so I may skip around in the events....ok..

So Lu apparently looked right at me at one point..somebody else told me this. Of course I didn't catch that. Bishop said KayCees name in his freestyle that I could barely hear up front and she didn't catch that at all lol, uhh Lu shouted out the blog right after he looked down at her. That got screams from random people. I also heard a guy behind me say that we "must be from the blog".

He was half right, lol.

I remember losing my voice for a second after yelling the words to
Sunshine, Paris, Tokyo, Kick Push, Daydreamin, I Gotcha, Superstar,
Hi-Definition, Dumb It Down, HHSML, & Go Go Gadget Flow. I think thats all of em
lol. [That's more than 7 songs by the way].

SIDENOTE: I loved the whole 'I love you' thing before Superstar. I'm
still singing it lol. AND I don't understand how once he said 'because you are..' people didn't see Superstar coming from a mile away. People in there sounded amazed once he said 'a superstar'afterwards. Seriously?

Anyway, apparently people are fans but can't tell Bishop from Gem,
Lupe has perfect timing, I'm 'skinny & pretty', vending machines DO
NOT take $5 bills, & pimples do come up the day before important
events just like in the movies and on tv.

So, I used to play video games on the regular. I was addicted. I also used to play the wrestling and basketball games with my brother. Wrestling is of no importance to me and I've seriously slacked on the basketball games. I used to be able to beat my brother. That's not happening anymore. The last one I remember playing had basketballs that lit on fire when you dunked. Yeah.

So anyway, I was watching him and Alex play NBA 2K9 today. I want it. I want to play again. AND they have a much better soundtrack. N.E.R.D. & Janelle Monae? Good enough for me. Anybody wanna buy it for me? I have a PS3..thanks.

Oh and just so you know..I'll crush you in Grand Turismo 5 and any Need For Speed game. I told yall I loved cars a while ago didn't I?


Soooo....on another note....

I'M GOING TO SEE LUPE TOMORROW at Loyola!! Yay me! lol.

I fucking hate this shit.

I still don't understand why Mary J. is in the Hip Hop category.

I also don't understand why we keep getting dicked on the Lupe performances.

Apparently he's good enough to be on the show but not good enough to be broadcast all the way through. It's like he's still a new artist or something.

It's like the Espy's all over again but worse. At least he was throughout the show on there.

And were the ratings for the show that bad before that they have to stop programming on all of their other channels?

Kid Rock and Wayne instead of Lupe just looked like more riding of Waynes dick to me (but hey, I might be biased.) Lemme see....oh!

Britney and not Panic! At The Disco. Wayne with the Supras. The Pussycat Dolls winning over everybody else in that category. Etc.

So..pretty much in conclusion..Russell has freakin' ADHD, I hate MTV Award shows. They are creative but decent people hardly ever win. And umm....I'm still in love with Kanye West.

Who The Hell Is Lupa?

So yesterday I got a text message from my mom (yes, she finally figured out this new texting thing) and it said,

"Did u know Lupa was going to be at love sept 21"

My first reaction was 'who the hell is Lupa?' then a second later I realized she meant Lupe. Then I shook my head when I realized it wasn't a typo or anything. She actually put Lupa.

I told her yes I knew when I'd actually forgot all about it. A friend of mine that is probably at LOVE every Saturday told me back in July maybe. He's like an insider there now or something.

But the whole point of this is....

My MOTHER texted me about a Lupe event! What the hell is going on here?

She's actually not sure if it's this month or next month but I guess it's the thought that counts. Right?

I Just Thought You Should Know...

Vh1 is the best music channel ever.

They just siced the hell out of me.

I turn to it and Paris, Tokyo is on. So I was like 'Okay I'm gonna stay up for like 3 more minutes.'

Then that goes off any my favorite Lupe video Daydreamin' comes on. So I'm hype for seeing that on TV for the first time in forever.

Then 'Everybody' with Andre, Bentley and Ye comes on. THEN freakin' 'Workout Plan' by Ye comes on. I forgot he even made a video for that. This was great, lol.

Needless to say...I'm just now about to go to sleep.
