I was gonna wait until Saturday to share this seeing as how that's his birthday but this is beautiful. I recommend actually watching it on YouTube though because it's partially cut off here. Kinda like watching a movie in full screen instead of wide. You don't get the whole thing.

So, like some people it still hasn't fully hit me that Michael Jackson died. It doesn't seem like he would ever die. Sounds weird but whatever. Anyway, my friend Keena [aka KayCee from The Lupe Fiasco Show] over at She's Not Famous put together the mixtape below. Best Weekend Ever?

I have a Top 5 Weekends of My Life list. Okay not really but I can remember 5 that really stand out. This last weekend just bumped the last one out. I'm not sure if it's number one but it is damn sure up there.

Okay, so two of these weekends involve Lupe of course and 2 more of them involve somebody else...but anyway...

I went to see Lupe this Saturday. Although the set was shorter than I would have liked it to be it was ridiculously great.

Seriously. lol.

I don't think I've ever seen anybody perform so..hard. I've never seen him so energetic. I kind of almost expected him to pass out from exhaustion. He was that gone. That show was the epitome of someone going into another zone when they performed.

KayCee, who is cool as shit by the way, posted a review of the concert and even though other ones are more detailed I think hers gives you the jist of what happened.

Some dude pissed on the floor and ....man this is gonna sound like a bad joke but I'll say it anyway...he ended up pissing everybody off around him and they got him kicked out. Hey, I warned you.

What else...Lu's opening act had a mascot who was almost as, if not more, entertaining than they were at some points. If anybody remembers what their name was and the name of that last song they did it'd be greatly
appreciated.

What else...oh..sound in the front wasn't all that great but at least I got to see everything without having to stand on my toes.

There was some groupie-like girls behind me and I think they had a part in trying to get the crowd to yell "Loopy". Of course that shit didn't fly. Even with half the people there not knowing who Lu was.

Even though I don't drink there are blocks of time that have been lost from that night so I may skip around in the events....ok..

So Lu apparently looked right at me at one point..somebody else told me this. Of course I didn't catch that. Bishop said KayCees name in his freestyle that I could barely hear up front and she didn't catch that at all lol, uhh Lu shouted out the blog right after he looked down at her. That got screams from random people. I also heard a guy behind me say that we "must be from the blog".

He was half right, lol.

I remember losing my voice for a second after yelling the words to
Sunshine, Paris, Tokyo, Kick Push, Daydreamin, I Gotcha, Superstar,
Hi-Definition, Dumb It Down, HHSML, & Go Go Gadget Flow. I think thats all of em
lol. [That's more than 7 songs by the way].

SIDENOTE: I loved the whole 'I love you' thing before Superstar. I'm
still singing it lol. AND I don't understand how once he said 'because you are..' people didn't see Superstar coming from a mile away. People in there sounded amazed once he said 'a superstar'afterwards. Seriously?

Anyway, apparently people are fans but can't tell Bishop from Gem,
Lupe has perfect timing, I'm 'skinny & pretty', vending machines DO
NOT take $5 bills, & pimples do come up the day before important
events just like in the movies and on tv.

NBA 2K9

So, I used to play video games on the regular. I was addicted. I also used to play the wrestling and basketball games with my brother. Wrestling is of no importance to me and I've seriously slacked on the basketball games. I used to be able to beat my brother. That's not happening anymore. The last one I remember playing had basketballs that lit on fire when you dunked. Yeah.

So anyway, I was watching him and Alex play NBA 2K9 today. I want it. I want to play again. AND they have a much better soundtrack. N.E.R.D. & Janelle Monae? Good enough for me. Anybody wanna buy it for me? I have a PS3..thanks.

Oh and just so you know..I'll crush you in Grand Turismo 5 and any Need For Speed game. I told yall I loved cars a while ago didn't I?


Soooo....on another note....

I'M GOING TO SEE LUPE TOMORROW at Loyola!! Yay me! lol.

Crash & Fizzle Out.

Have you ever been somewhere, been with somebody or did something that
had you on a...for a lack of better word...high?

Maybe euphoria would have been a better way to explain it. Or maybe
euphoria is slightly too much.

Do you sometimes you feel like you want to freeze time? That's not
exactly how it is. I mean sometimes you don't want certain moments to
end.

Then you remember you have bills to pay, things to accomplish,
problems, situations, you know...things like that. Real life.

It's kind of like that commercial about energy drinks. You know the
one that talks about how other energy drinks give you that boost of
energy and then you crash. Hard. This one is kind of like that other
one. The one where you get that boost of energy and then you slowly
go back to the way you were before you took it. Like a crash and
fizzle out instead of a crash and burn. It's like..the crash wasn't
so bad that you're thinking 'What was I thinking? That wasn't worth
it'

It's more like, 'That crash wasn't that bad. It was worth the high.
I can do that again. When can I do that again?'

You think about the situations surrounding the high for days
afterwards. You count the days until you can be high again. Cuz you
know, you can't do it that often because you actually do have a job
and have to make it to work. That and it'd be way too expensive to
have the high everyday.

It's the perfect high though. Maybe. Too perfect. Almost. Not
really. That can't be good for you. It's great for the moments
though.

Right? I mean, I wouldn't know. I'm just asking.

When's the last time you had a boost of 'energy'?
When's the last time you were high?
What was it like?

Now I'm on my way back home to eat the Taco Bell I just bought. After that I'm out in search of (no pun intended) 2 of 2.

I visted the Sanrio story in KOP recently. I had to. There is a new character I'm probably late named Kuromi. That is a new addiction developed this Saturday. People have recently found that when I said I had a problem with buying Hello Kitty stuff...I was serious.

My Philly trip. Greatness is ensued.

Corner store chicken wings. Yelling at the screen on Wheel of Fortune. King of Prussia mall. More unnecessary Hello Kitty stuff to feed my addiction. No computers. No cable. Sleeping on the floor (a floor that I`m almost sure has no padding under the carpet.) Sleeping on plastic covered couches and having to peel myself off of them. Seeing my cousins Tyshon & Jenaya (and Tania who doesn't remember me.)

...having my battery on my phone die every 20 minutes because Jenaya wanted to play games and watch the Disney channel and Cartoon Network. Arguing about my taste in music because my Zune was connected to the tv.

Yeah so that was probably the most relaxed I`ve been in a while.

No Home Movies at all this weekend...there`s always next time.

Now I have to explain to my co-workers...excuse me co-stars what was wrong with my mother and why I had to leave work early on Friday.
